7 PRACTICAL WAYS TO REFRESH YOUR HOME

This past two years has been an awakening for home owners as they have been stuck in their homes they realized that they need to start to refresh their look. Or you are one of those people who have purchased a new home. Where do you start with all the long lead times? We are giving you 7 practical ways to tackle things in your home that can give you a fresh look while you wait for the big makeovers and those long delayed items to come in like your kitchen appliances and cabinets.

1. Paint and More Paint. You have heard it before painting is the perfect way to refresh your home. From basic colors to refresh your walls to your ceiling. A fresh coat of paint will make you feel like your space is new.

2. Switch Out A Light Fixture or Two. For example by just changing out your old bathroom vanity light to a few fun pendant lights it will refresh your bathroom.

3. Change Out Your Light Bulbs or Recessed Cans. Over head lighting is one of those things that people dont think much about but having the wrong bulb makes your home feel dark and depressing. Turns out, the fix can be easy. Philips Hue smart bulbs, which allows you to change up the color of our lighting using an app. Through playing around with our bulbs. I prefer the look of 3000 Kelvins, which give your home a warm glow and instantly made me feel more comfortable.

4. Add A Custom Window Coverings. By adding a custom window covering to your room you get to express your personality and provide privacy and the ability to capture the days warmth.

5. Buy A New Area Rug. If you need something practical you can get pet friendly rugs that are cost effective and add them to your kitchen or bathroom. Splurge for the right areas of your home but you don’t need to go overboard throughout your house.

6. Add A Fresh Scent. A Scent is such a powerful thing, and if you find a new scent that you love, bringing that into your home is a nice way to create a different atmosphere. Look for scented candles, soaps, even a bag of lavender or lavender water that you can put in your iron to get your linens smelling really lovely. Or make your own fragrances.

7. Make It Cozy. You can change up a room and make it really cozy with a great throw and new pillows while you wait for new furniture you desire.
